CATANZARO
Catanzaro is the capital of the region of Calabria. Its territory covers a coastline on the Ionian Sea, and a hilly area (up to about 600 meters above the sea level), formed by 3 hills named: "Vescovado", "Trifone (or San Rocco)"and "San Giovanni (or Castello)". Catanzaro è literally split in two by the valley of the river "Fiumarella". The two edges are linked by the "Bisantis" bridge, one of the highest viaducts in Europe. |
